Malfono Ninos Aho 1945-2013

Ninos Aho was a great activist for the cause he believed in and lived for- the Nation of Assyria.   His accomplishments are many, the greatest of which is the unity he fostered among our people.

He loved his Assyrian heritage and worked zealously to guide and help his people living in dire conditions in many parts of the world. Our awareness of this love for his people was an incalculable source of strength and, we could only profit from it.  We, therefore, have a responsibility to the Assyrian children yet to be born.  That is his legacy.

Seyfo Center’s Honorary Global Ambassador Ninos Aho, was an erudite and prolific writer who has enriched us all by his enlightened and wisdom-imparting scholarly poetry. His wealth of knowledge in the hidden treasures of our past shall flow through us to the next generation. Even though a few of us will possess the greatness to alter history itself,  each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation. It is from the numerous diverse acts of courage and belief that human history has been shaped.  Each time a man, such as Ninos, stands up for an ideal it gives hope and strikes out against injustice.

Ninos’ contribution to Seyfo Center and his guidance gave us strength to carry on our mission of assistance to the needy and to build our Nation.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, relatives and friends and Assyrian nation in these times of grief.
